Season 2 Episode 10: The Pearly Gates
Spoiler Warning:
Our heroes(?), return to Nick’s house after a helping the homeless at a local shelter. Mike and Adam are then rather perturbed by Nick’s declaration of atheism and try to see if they can find him a religion to join. But, as always, it’s not as simple as that. It never is.
Well, here we are at the end of another season. And much like the first season, this season also ends on a great episode. Seriously, seeing Nick try out different religions is fucking gold. The scene where Mike is swayed to join Islam and then ends up facing the wrong direction while trying to pray towards Mecca is just so freaking funny. Then of course the customer service representative in Heaven bit is laugh out loud hilarious, as is the verdict that Adam’s only misdeed was hanging out with Mike and Nick. Seriously, that shit kill me every time.
Storyline Update:
After helping at a homeless shelter and discovering Nick is an atheist, Mike and Adam try to help Nick find a religion to join. Unfortunately, this leads to him joining a death cult which results in our heroes dying and being judged at the gates of Heaven. Mike goes to Hell, Nick goes to Heaven and Adam is sent back to Earth.
Final Thoughts:
Once again this is a banger and a really great end to the second season.
